I chose this picture because it evokes a sense of a journey, with the hope that our therapeutic journey together will take you to a better place, a place where you can manage the ups and downs of life in a way that is fulfilling for you.
When we are considering getting help, sometimes we are not sure of what troubles us, many people come to me not knowing what their problem is. That is ok. I have a natural ability to understand what lies beneath my clients` issues and we will get straight to the core of what is happening. I will help you to reflect and clarify where you are now, identify the fears that keep you stuck and work towards what you want, you don`t have to do it alone.
I will ask you to actively explore yourself concentrating on aspects of your physical functioning - and also dreams, fantasies, memories, images and thoughts - until what seems old and familiar will become alive and vibrant again, pushing you to your boundary. It is there that growth happens and the perspective on yourself and the world around you shifts, letting you see new possibilities and a wider range of choices.
My interest in counselling and psychotherapy arises from my own life experience and challenges. I successfully work with a vast range of clients, adults and adolescents, individuals and couples. I value diversity and believe that every person has her own unique journey and the possibility to live a more satisfying life.
I see counselling as a specific time limited form of therapy where therapist and client focus more on a particular issue, whereas psychotherapy refers to a more open ended journey where core issues can be freely explored, possibly leading to long term, deep changes.
I have developed a deep understanding of the complex issues that can cause problems in everyday life including depression, anxiety , addiction, abandonment, self harm, suicidal thoughts, existential meaningless, spirituality longing, panic attacks, relationship break-up, bereavement and loss, coping with abuse, cultural challenges, ADHD related issues, working through crisis and trauma.
My practice is in Barnsbury, N1, North London, only a few minutes away from the Victoria and Piccadilly lines and the Overground.
